Welcome to my homepage, which is dedicated to woodturnery
Since more than 3000 years people are working with wood moved back and forth at first by hand or foot, later by kind of a fiddle bow and finally since the middle age, when Leonardo da Vinci invented the cranked shaft, turning pieces of wood, against which one held cutting or scraping tools. Nowadays there are modern computer-controlled lathes for the industrial mass production. But all my workpieces are totally handmade, sanded, oiled and/or waxed.
